Assign Phone Numbers in Enterprise Sales Management (Managed Package)
The Number Assignment option in Displaying on the Summary page is provided as a sample implementation. This option allows you to associate a phone number in the Service Identifier column with each quote line item or order line item.
This feature is part of the Communications Cloud managed package.
Make edits in this column to assign unique values to each line item. If you use the Enrich Quote or Enrich Order option to assign phone numbers, the same value is assigned to all the selected line items, which might not be useful for the Service Identifier column. However, you can customize this option to work with other fields where you want to associate the same value with multiple line items.
By default, the Service Identifier column is shown on the Summary page when Displaying is set to All or when Displaying is set to Number Assignment. To customize which display option shows this column, see Customize the Fields Associated with a Display Option.
- In the enterprise quote or enterprise order, go to the Summary page.
- In Displaying, select Number Assignment or All.

To perform an inline edit of a single line item:
- Go to the line item that you want to update. In Service Identifier, click the edit icon.
- Enter the phone number that you want to assign to this line item.
- Click outside the field to save your change.

To update multiple line items with the same phone number:
- Select the line items that you want to update.
- In Displaying, select Number Assignment.
- Click Enrich Quote or Enrich Order.
- In Service Identifier, enter the required phone number.
- Click Save.
- Click Close or Close & Refresh.
