You are here:
Associate a Retry Policy with an Orchestration Item Definition
After creating an integration retry policy, associate that policy with an orchestration item definition (a callout). That callout uses the retry policy to determine how often, and how many times, to retry a failed connection.
Before You Begin
- Open or create an Orchestration Item Definition. For steps on doing so, see View or Create an Orchestration Item Definition
- Click in the Retry Policy field, type the name of the retry policy that you want to associate with this item, then click that name.
- Configure the rest of the orchestration item, then click Save. Note
If the orchestration item definition has specified both the Number Of Retries and the Retry Policy, then Order Management uses the Retry Policy and ignores the Number of Retries fields. See Add a Number of Retries to an Orchestration Item Definition
The retry policy and the orchestration item are associated. Orchestration items based on this definition follow the associated retry policy.
