Augment Callout with Temporary Information
Augmenting a callout with temporary information combines the Grouping pattern with the Event Service pattern to achieve the desired result. You interact with the Device Inventory and inform the system of all the STBs leased to the customer.
Considering the example of Basic Channel Pack with an attribute named TVA Sport that controls whether the customer has access to the TV Sport Application, you may have a new requirement where you need to add more information from the TV Service and Order to the callout to the Device Inventory. However, this information should not be persisted because it is only relevant to the current order:
- Create a new technical specification Order Info.
- Configure this product to be NotAssetizable.
- Configure the Order Info as a child of Device Inventory to ensure the Device Inventory is sent in the callout together with the other RFS CPE specs.
- Create a decomposition relationship between TV Service and the newly created Order Info.
