          OM Plus: Re-Propagating Attribute Values

          OM Plus: Re-Propagating Attribute Values

Order Management Plus allows re-propagation of mapped characteristics on technical (downstream) order items. This is because some attributes might be completed as a result of the information received once callbacks are finished or a task is completed.

To see steps about setting up re-propagation, see Set Up Re-Propagation for Attribute Values.

          Note
          Note

If the re-propagate auto task is linked to multiple fulfillment request lines, OM will re-execute decomposition relationships for all these FR Lines.

Consider the scenario of a mobile line:

          Sample mobile line scenario

IMSI is a critical attribute which is mandatory for an activation callout, which is linked to the Activation specification. However, the IMSI is unknown at the moment the order is submitted and decomposed. The IMSI may be known only as part of the execution of an orchestration item linked to a Logical Inventory specification item.

Decomposition relationships include all mapping rules from DR2 and DR3. As part of fulfilling this orchestration item, the IMSI populates the SIM Order line Item and there is a need to repeat the attribute propagation performed in the decomposition relationship DR 2.
