OM Standard: Optimize Large Order Decomposition with OMOrderViewLoadingMode

The view decomposition page can sometimes fail to load for large orders, because the page tries to load all the data at once. You can set a custom setting to load the view one root order at a time, which minimizes those failures.

Set the OMOrderViewLoadingMode custom setting to ByRootOrderItem to have the view decomposition page load by root order item, rather than all at once.

          1. In the Lightning environment, click the Settings gear icon, then click Setup.
An image of the Setup button.
          2. In the Quick Find field, type Custom Settings, then click Custom Settings.
          3. In the Custom Settings page, find XOMSetup and click the Manage link next to it. If you don't see XOMSetup, then click the X from among the letters at the top of the screen to filter out most of the options.
The Custom Settings screen, with arrows pointing to the X navigation aid and the XOMSetup list item.
          4. Next to OMOrderViewLoadingMode click Edit.

            Note

If the custom setting isn't there, you can add it. See

The Custom Setting window, with OMOrderViewLoadingMode highlighted.
          5. In the XOM Setup Edit window, in the Value field, type ByRootOrderItem, then click Save.
The XOMSetup Edit screen, editing OMOrderViewLoadingMode, with the Value field highlighted and the string ByRootOrderItem in the field.

The View Decomposition page is set to load one root order item at a time, rather than loading the whole page at once.
