To use platform events with an Order Management version before fall '19, verify that platform events is set to publish after commit.

Before You Begin

To verify or set platform events to publish after commit, follow these steps:

Go to Platform Events: in the Quick Find field, type Platform Events, and then click the Platform Events link. The Platform Events page opens.
Click the link to edit OrchestrationEvent.
Set the publish behavior to Publish After Commit and then click Save.
The change takes effect after about five minutes.
