Queue Types
There are three queue types that determine the algorithm for distributing tasks to users and queues: Attributes-Based, Round Robin, and Least Loaded. Choose a queue type when defining manual queues and manual tasks.
Attributes-Based: Assigns tasks based on assignment rules that you set. Note: Before the Fall '19 release, Order Management Standard ignored this value. For more information, see Attributes-Based Queues.
Round Robin: Assigns the task to members of the work group in sequence. Order Management finds a membership pointing to the given manual queue and selects the next user account.
Least Loaded: Assigns the task to the person with the fewest number of tasks in their queue. Order Management finds a member pointing to the given manual queue and selects the user account with the least amount of active tasks assigned. The Least Loaded rule considers the number of tasks within the given manual queue only and ignores other tasks assigned to the same user in other queues.
