Period values in Editable PeriodCarry KPI are distributed to calculate sub period values of PeriodCarryHelper KPI using the week day share profile. The value type considered is Volume, Money, and None. The table shows the additional configurations that are considered:
| Configuration | PeriodCarry KPI | PeriodCarryHelper KPI |
|---|---|---|
| Rounding Type | With carry | With carry |
| Rounding Order | Default | Default |
| Rounding Precision | 0 | 0 |
| Time Granularity | Period | Subperiod |
Here’s the sequence of execution.
| Step No. | Calculation step | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Rounded values | The manual inputs for period values are rounded to the nearest value by considering carry. Week(W) 1 > Round (6.66) = 7, and similarly for W2 and W3. |
| 2 | Period Carry | The carry values are determined based on the global carry used. The system obtains a global carry based on the logic: (Value of the period before rounding) - (value of the period after rounding). W1 > Round (6.66) = 7, and similarly for W2 and W3. |
| 3 | Sub period values | For W1:
Similarly, the system calculates the values for W2 and W3. |
| 4 | Rounded sub period values | The rounded sub period values are obtained by simply rounding the sub period values. 2.8 is rounded to 3 for W1, 3.2 to 3 for W2, and 8 to 8 for W3. For the other cells, the values are calculated by considering the carry, and then adding it with the sub period value. Carry (-0.2) of the first segment is added with the sub period value (4.2) to determine the rounded value of the sub period (-0.2 + 4.2 = 4, which is rounded to 4). |
| 5 | Sub period Carry | The system obtains a local carry based on the logic: (Actual sub period values) – (Rounded sub period values) For W1:
Similarly, the system calculates values for W2 and W3. |
