Configure Companion Org to Use Data Cloud One Actionable Lists

Configure Companion Org to Use Data Cloud One Actionable Lists

Set up your Companion Org to leverage the power of Data Cloud One Actionable Lists. Companion org users gain the ability to use these lists for segmentation and action. To enable this, administrators must first activate Data Pipelines and Actionable Segmentation in Setup. By assigning the appropriate licenses and permissions, you enable users in the companion org to access and utilize segments defined in Data Cloud One, empowering them with actionable customer data.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Professional, Starter, and Unlimited Editions with the Data Processing Engine platform license, Data Spaces, Industry Sales Excellence, Segmentation and Activation, Sonic Embedded Store Base, Data Cloud One, and Customer Data Platform add-on licenses.
          User Permissions Needed
To use Data Cloud One actionable lists:

          Data Cloud One Admin

Data Pipelines Base User AND Custom Data Space

To enable and access Data Cloud features from your companion org, see Access Data Cloud One from a Companion Org.

Enable and set up list builder for Data One Segment, which requires Data Cloud processing. Enable Actionable Segmentation, which doesn’t require Data Cloud processing.

To activate data pipelines and enable Actionable Segmentation in your companion org:

          1. From Setup, search for Data Pipelines and select Getting Started.
To see this option, you must be assigned the Data Pipelines Base User permission set license or the Data Pipelines Add On permission set.
          2. Enable Data Pipelines.
          3. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Actionable Segmentation, and then select Actionable Segmentation Settings.
          4. Enable Actionable Segmentation.
When you enable Actionable Segmentation in Setup, an auto-installed app creation request is triggered and a CRMA application is created for Actionable Segmentation. This application provides the shared folder to save datasets associated with list definitions.
          5. Create a new permission set for Data Space Data Management and then assign the required data spaces. See Manage Permission Set Assignments.
          6. Create a new user profile and in the Standard Object Permissions section, enable the Read, Create, Edit, and Delete permissions for the Actionable List, Actionable List Member, Actionable List Key Performance Indicator Assignments, and Actionable List Column objects. See Provide List Creators Access to Objects.
          7. Add Data Space access to the Data Cloud One permission set so that the user can see the segments.
            Tip
Tip If segments aren't appearing in Actionable List Builder, change the segment's status to Published. See Enable and Set Up List Builder for Data Cloud Segment
