Define the Target for the Prediction

Define the Target for the Prediction

Define the variable to use as your model’s primary focus for analysis and predictions. The scoring model uncovers relationships between the input features and your target variable, and provides insights about maximizing or minimizing your target variable.

To set up a CRM Analytics template configuration: Scoring Framework Admin
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Industries Cloud Einstein, and then select Scoring Framework.
  2. On the card of the template configuration that you want to use, click Quick actions menu button, and select Edit.
  3. For Define Target Variable, click Set Up,
  4. Choose whether you want to select a predefined target variable or define a custom target variable.
  5. If you’re using a predefined target, select a target variable.
  6. If you’re defining a custom target variable, add conditions and click Count Records to determine the number of example records for yes and no outcomes.
    If you have an insufficient number of records, edit your conditions, and recount the example records. A minimum of 100 example records are required for both a yes outcome and for a no outcome.
  7. To continue defining the template configuration, click Save & Continue.
    You can also save your changes and return to the Scoring Framework Setup page.
Example
Example

A media company uses Scoring Framework to get predictions about the likelihood of prospects converting into subscribers. The media company’s Salesforce admin defines a custom target variable that defines prospects’ conversion into subscribers. The admin adds conditions to define that all the opportunities that have related accounts can be considered as a conversion.
