Configure Intelligent Appointment Management Settings for an External Scheduler

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud

          User Permissions Needed

          1. In Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Intelligent Appointment Management Configuration, and then select Intelligent Appointment Management Configuration.
          2. Click New Intelligent Appointment Management Configuration.
          3. Enter a label and a name for the configuration.
          4. Enter the Named Credential that you created for this configuration. Intelligent Appointment Management uses the named credential, an Apex class, and URI paths to manage appointments.
          5. Enter optional configuration settings.
            Field Description
            Apex Class

The name of a custom Apex class that’s used to connect with an external scheduling system. If you override default URI paths by configuring an Intelligent Appointment Management URL Configuration in Setup, you must also use a custom Apex class. Consistency between custom URI paths and custom Apex ensures that data from each endpoint is parsed as expected.

To use the default Apex class included with Health Cloud, leave Apex Class blank.

Base Time Slots Definition For CRM Analytics, the prediction ID that’s used in configuring Intelligent Appointment Management.
            Assigned Provider Role

The role of the Assigned Provider, for example Primary Care Physician or PCP. The Assigned Provider Role value maps to the assigned providers’ relationship with their patients defined in the Reciprocal Role record.

This field doesn’t apply in Summer ‘24 or later.

Service Appointment Record Type Name The record type to use for Service Appointment records.
Attendance Threshold Percent For CRM Analytics, the optimum percentage of completed appointments. This percentage is used to highlight preferred time slots based on attendance prediction from Einstein Discovery.
Use Single Source System We recommend selecting Use Single Source System if you connect directly with your electronic health record (EHR) system without the use of middleware.
Create Duplicate Patient Record For self-scheduling, keep Create Duplicate Patient Record selected to create a patient record even if an existing patient record has identical data. Deselect this checkbox to prevent the creation of a patient record and to create a case for your review instead.
          6. To use this configuration record, select Is Active.
You can have multiple appointment configurations, but only one can be active at a time.
            Important
Important A configuration record isn’t active by default. You must manually activate it and deactivate any other configuration records. At least one configuration record must be active for Intelligent Appointment Management to work.
          7. Save the configuration.
