Create Custom Rich Text Fields for Your Object in Omnistudio Document Generation

Create Custom Rich Text Fields for Your Object in Omnistudio Document Generation

You can create a custom rich text field for any object. Map the rich text field in your object using Omnistudio Data Mappers to render the rich text content in the generated document.

          1. Go to Setup, then click Object Manager.
          2. In the Quick Find box, search for the object to which you want to add a custom rich text field.
          3. Click the object name and then Field & Relationships.
          4. Click New.
          5. Select Text Area (Rich) for the Data Type, and then click Next.
          6. Enter the Field Label, Length, and Field Name details, and then click Next.
For example, RichTextTest is the field label.
          7. In the Field-Level Security for Profile, select the Visible checkbox for the profiles that must see the custom field. Click Next.
The custom field is hidden from all profiles if you don’t add it to field-level security.
          8. Select the Dynamic Forms-enabled Lightning record pages that should include the field, then click Next.
If you don’t have any Dynamic Forms-enabled Lightning record pages for the object, this step doesn’t appear.
          9. Select the page layouts that should include the field.
          10. Save your changes.
          11. In the Field & Relationships tab, search for the custom rich text field.
            For example, RichTextTest.
          12. Make a note of the Field Name (API name) to use it later in your Data Mapper Extract.

            For example, RichTextTest__c.
