Create the Document Generation Setting for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22

The Document Generation Setting you create determines the default mechanism for document generation, either Client-Side or Server-Side.

Important

Server-side document generation isn't enabled by default. To enable this feature, see Enable Server-Side Document Generation Setting for the Omnistudio Package and Salesforce Document Generation.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter document, then click Document Generation Settings.
2. Click New.
3. In the New Document Generation Setting window, enter these values:

   Field	Value
   Label	Specify a value such as DocGen
   API Name	(Defaults to Label value)
   Document Template Library Name	DocgenDocumentTemplateLibrary (default)
   Generation Mechanism	Choose Client-Side (default) or Server-Side
   Preview Type	Choose PDF (default) or Thumbnail
   ServerSide Docgen Enabled	Check if the Generation Mechanism is Server-Side. This setting isn't selected by default.

4. Click Create.
