          Configure Browser-Based Preview for Omnistudio Document Generation

          Configure the browser and remote site settings for proper handling of PDF files in the previewer. Use the document preview feature for clear rendering of formatting and visual elements for files such as PDF, DOCX, and PPT directly within the browser.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

          To configure previewer settings System Admin

          Prerequisite: Make sure the PdfGenerationSource setting is set to Vlocity Client Side. For more information, see Configure the PDF Conversion Custom Option.

          Note
          Note For more information on PDF browser features in Omnistudio Document Generation, see Supported PDF Features and Formatting Capabilities.
          1. Configure your browser to open PDFs. For example, in Firefox:
            1. Open Settings, and then click General tab.
            2. Under Files and Applications, scroll to Applications.
            3. Locate the content type Portable Document Format (PDF), and set the action to Open in Firefox.
              Note that the exact instructions vary depending on which browser you're using.
          2. To grant access to your org domains to enable the previewer, update remote site settings.
            1. Open any Omniscript in your org and click Preview.
              If you’re only using the document generation flow from the Contract record page, go to the Details tab, scroll to the contract document section, right-click the ContractDocumentNewDisplay VF component, and complete the remote site settings.
            2. To open the iframe in a new browser tab, right-click in the white space of the previewer and select View Frame Source.
            3. Copy the vf.force.com URL from the address bar.
              For example, https://MyDomainName--c.vf.force.com.
            4. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Remote Site Settings and select it.
            5. Click New Remote Site.
            6. Enter a remote site name for the vf.force.com domain.
              Ensure that the name doesn’t include spaces. For example, enter LWC_VF.
            7. In Remote Site URL, enter the URL that you previously copied.
              For example, https://MyDomainName--c.vf.force.com.
            8. Verify that the Active options is enabled.
            9. Save your changes.
