Post-Install Steps for Omnistudio Document Generation Winter '25 and later release

Complete the installation of Omnistudio Document Generation by performing the necessary tasks.

Prerequisite: Ensure Omnistudio is installed or upgraded, and complete all associated post-installation or post-upgrade. See Omnistudio Release Summary for Installation and Upgrade.

A clear understanding of permission set combinations is essential for many tasks. There are three specific permission set combinations for Omnistudio Document Generation and Omnistudio non-community users:

• DocGen Designer and Omnistudio Admin — Users with these permissions can create document templates, create or import Omniscripts, and generate documents.
• DocGen User combined with Omnistudio User or Omnistudio Admin — Users with these permissions can only generate and view documents; they can't create or view document templates.

Post-installation tasks are:

• Enable Server-Side Document Generation Setting for the Omnistudio Package.
• Create the Docgen Designer Standard User Permission Set for Omnistudio Document Generation Spring '23 and later releases
• Assign Permission Sets to your Users Spring '23 and later releases
• Create the Docgen Document Template Library for Omnistudio Document Generation Spring '23 and later releases
• Configure Document Generation Setting for Omnistudio Document Generation Winter '25 and later releases
• Create the Main Font Resources for Omnistudio Document Generation Spring '23 and later releases
• Create RollbackDRChanges Setting for Omnistudio Document Generation Spring '23 and later releases
• Import the Omniscript DataPacks for Omnistudio Document Generation Spring '23 and later releases
• Activate the Latest Document Generation Omniscripts for Omnistudio Document Generation Spring '23 and later releases
