Post-Install Steps for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
To complete the installation of Omnistudio Document Generation, complete these tasks.
Before you start, be sure to install or upgrade Omnistudio and complete the post-installation or post-upgrade tasks. See Omnistudio Release Summary for Installation and Upgrade.
Many of the tasks require that you understand permission set combinations. There are three Permission Set combinations for Omnistudio Document Generation and Omnistudio non-Community users.

DocGen Designer and Omnistudio Admin — Users can create document templates, create or import Omniscripts, and generate documents.

DocGen Runtime User and Omnistudio Admin — Users can't create or view document templates but can create or import Omniscripts and generate documents.

DocGen Runtime User and Omnistudio User — Users can't create or view document templates and can only generate documents using Omniscripts already present.
- Create the Docgen Designer Standard User Permission Set for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
To create the Docgen Designer Standard User Permission Set, run one Apex command in the Developer Console. - Add DocGen Permission Sets to the Omnistudio Designer Permission Set Group for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
To allow non-designer users to generate documents, you must add a DocGen Permission Set to the Omnistudio Permission Set Group for non-designer users. - Add a DocGen Permission Set to the Omnistudio Non-Designer Permission Set Group for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
To allow non-designer users to generate documents, you must add a DocGen Permission Set to the Omnistudio Permission Set Group for non-designer users. - Assign Permission Set Groups to Users for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
This task applies to new users that need Omnistudio Permission Set Groups with DocGen Permission Sets assigned to them. - Create the Docgen Document Template Library for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
Create the Docgen Document Template Library that stores the Document Templates you create. - Create the Document Generation Setting for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
The Document Generation Setting you create determines the default mechanism for document generation, either Client-Side or Server-Side. - Create the Main Font Resources for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
The font resources store the fonts your generated documents use. - Create RollbackDRChanges Setting for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
If the Omnistudio Perm is enabled in your org, then you need to configure the RollbackDRChanges setting. - Import the Omniscript DataPacks for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
The sample Omniscripts are provided as Static Resources, which you download and then import. - Activate the Latest Document Generation Omniscripts for Omnistudio Document Generation Summer '22
You activate the latest Document Generation Omniscripts by deactivating and then reactivating them.
