Using Dynamic Hyperlinks, Rich Text, Images in Server-Side Document Generation

Using Dynamic Hyperlinks, Rich Text, Images in Server-Side Document Generation

Use hyperlinks, rich text, and image tokens in document templates to insert dynamic URLs, rich texts and images in server-side generated DOCX and PDF files.

          Note
Note Using dynamic hyperlinks, rich text, and images have some limitations. For more information, see Limitations in Omnistudio Document Generation.

To set up dynamic hyperlinks, rich text, and images, follow these instructions:

          • Dynamic Hyperlinks for Server-Side Document Generation
Use hyperlink tokens in Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint document templates to insert dynamic URLs in generated DOCX and PDF files. For example, with dynamic hyperlink tokens, you can insert a hyperlink for every product ordered that directs you to the product specification web page.
          • Dynamic Rich Text for Server-Side Document Generation
Use rich text tokens in a Microsoft Word document template to insert rich text content in the generated DOCX and PDFfiles. With dynamic rich text tokens, show product details as a block of information with its original formatting in your generated document. Product details are stored in a rich text field of a Salesforce object.
          • Support Rich Text, Images, and Hyperlinks for Server-Side Document Generation for Objects
The Doc Generation API Version Type defines the API version to use for document generation. To support rich text, images, and hyperlink tokens for document generation process records and sObjects, set the Doc Generation API Version Type setting from Basic to Advanced.
