Configure Custom Image Fields for Server-Side Omnistudio Document Generation
Create a custom text field for any object that you want to fetch your image from. To
render the image in the generated document, you must map the image API name from your object by
using Omnistudio Data Mapper.

User Permissions Needed
To configure custom image fields:
DocGen Designer
From Setup, click Object Manager.
In the Quick Find box, search for the object that you want to add the custom text field
to.
Click the object name, and then click Field &
Relationships.
Click New.
Select Text as the data type, and click
Next.
Enter the field label, length, and field name, and then click
Next
For example, enter IMG Document Generation as the field
label.
In the Field-Level Security for Profile, select the Visible checkbox
for the profiles that must see the custom field. Click Next.
The custom field is hidden from all profiles if you don’t add it to field-level
security.
Select the Dynamic Forms-enabled Lightning record pages that must include the field, and
then click Next.
If you don’t have any Dynamic Forms-enabled Lightning record pages for the object, you
won't get the option to select Dynamic Forms-enabled Lightning record pages.
Select the page layouts that must include the field.
Save your changes.
On the Field & Relationships tab, search for the custom field, such as IMG Document
Generation. Note the field name (API name) for referencing it later in your Data Mapper
Extract.
For example, ins_238__IMG_Document_Generation__c. Here ins_238__ is the
namespace.
