Support Rich Text, Images, and Hyperlinks for Server-Side Document Generation for Objects
The Doc Generation API Version Type defines the API version to use for document generation. To support rich text, images, and hyperlink tokens for document generation process records and sObjects, set the Doc Generation API Version Type setting from Basic to Advanced.
When using sample Omniscripts, Integration Procedures, or custom classes for server-side document generation, the default setting for the Doc Generation API Version Type is set to Advanced. This configuration enables server-side document generation to handle hyperlinks, images, and rich texts in Salesforce Contracts and Document Generation.

Open the Document Generation Process record.
If you don’t see the Document Generation Process page, enable the Document Generation Processes under Tab Settings for your profile.

Click edit next to Doc Generation API Version
Type.
If you don’t see this field, from the Object Manager add the Doc Generation API Version Type field to the page layout.
- Select Advanced.
- Save your changes.
