Choose how the Data Processing Engine handles currency fields when it processes
multi-currency data. Convert all currency values to a single currency for consistent
calculations, or keep each amount in its original currency to apply your own conversion logic.
Set your preference once for a definition and run it the same way every time on the CRM
Analytics or Data 360 runtime.
Manufacturing (Rebate Calculations): Rebate computations often involve transactions
across multiple currencies. Choose whether to convert currency before aggregation for
rebate calculations to match your business logic.
Billing and Accounting: In financial use cases, some organizations retain the original
currency values for reporting, and others convert them to a standard corporate currency.
Currency conversion helps your data comply with accounting and financial-reporting
rules.
Considerations
Currency conversion applies only when your Salesforce org has multi-currency enabled and
your definition uses the CRM Analytics or Data 360 runtime.
The On-Demand Processing runtime and Data Preview don't support currency conversion
Currency conversion isn't supported for standard Salesforce object fields, Data 360 fields, and CRM Analytics datasets with a currency data
type.
The conversion of currency fields applies to fields in Salesforce objects, data lake
objects, data model objects, and calculated insights objects.
How Currency Conversion Works in Each Runtime The runtime your definition uses and the currency conversion setting together determine whether CRM Analytics or Data 360 converts currency values or keeps them in their original currency.
Configure Currency Conversion for a Definition Set the currency conversion preference for a definition in the Data Processing Engine builder. Turn conversion on to consolidate amounts into a single currency, or turn it off to keep the original currencies. For the Data 360 runtime, select the target currency.
