          Pause Fulfillment Step

          Pause Fulfillment Step

The pause step stops fulfillment until certain conditions are in place. Set the Resume On rule to something that must be true before the pause step completes.

A pause fulfillment step requires both the pause fulfillment step itself, and a Resume On rule that defines when the process can continue. Note that this feature supports only order line item and fulfillment order line item fields and attributes.

When fulfillment gets to the pause step, the step enters the In Progress state and fulfillment stops. After the conditions in the Resume On rule are met, the Pause step moves to the Completed state and fulfillment continues. The Resume On rule is triggered for recalculation only when the specific order line item and fulfillment order line item configured in the rule are updated.

          Example
          Example

You want fulfillment to pause until a field service agent marks a work order as complete. The Resume On rule can state that fulfillment continues after the agent changes a certain attribute on a fulfillment order line item. When the agent makes the change, Dynamic Revenue Orchestrator marks the pause step Completed and the fulfillment continues.

After creating the pause step itself, open the actions menu on the step and complete these instructions:

          1. Select Configure resume on rule.
          2. Click Create Rule.
          3. Set rule conditions using the Create Rule interface. You can select either sales transaction resources or fulfillment line item resources.
A resume rule configured with a fulfillment line item attribute as the condition.
