Review these considerations when you create a prompt template for AI Summary. For more information on creating a new prompt template, see Create a Prompt Template.
- AI Summary supports these prompt template types:
- Record Summary - Standard or Custom: Support this template type in the component to allow for single-object processing. Set the object type to 'Account' to utilize the prompt template and bypass the single-record limitations of Record Summary. Define the specific object type and apply the template to help universal single-object functionality.
- Field Generation - Standard or Custom: Use this prompt template type to save the generated summary into a specific field. Create a Field Generation prompt and specify the target field where you want to save the summary.
- Flex - Standard or Custom: Use the Flex prompt template to generate highly informed and complex outputs, to ground your prompt with up to five different resources such as an account, opportunity, file, contact, or plain text. Empowers, you to create sophisticated apps, such as automatically generating a personalized email by drawing on information from multiple sources.
- User Summary Design the User Summary prompt template for the AI Summary component, typically for use on the Home page. Empower contact center executives to generate AI-driven insights for identifying and prioritizing top leads and opportunities. Use context service data to optimize their daily work flow and focus.
- AI Summary supports all input sources available in the Prompt Builder, including Flows, Apex, Context Service, and Objects and Fields.
- AI Summary shows only active prompt templates.
- If a prompt template's object is the same as a record page's object, the template is available for selection in AI Summary. For example, if you create a prompt template by using the Account object, it is available on Account record pages in AI Summary.
- Fields enabled for AI Summary must support the character limit defined in the prompt template.
- When your flex template involves multiple sObjects (like Account and Opportunity), you can place it on any or all of those objects. If the flex template uses any plain text input, you must include an sObject to support it. Files are the exception: you can create a flex template with only Files, and you can place that template on any sObject.
- When you use flex templates that require a file input, the file selection behavior differs based on the interface: the mobile app only supports selecting existing Salesforce files; it cannot upload files directly from the local device. However, in Lightning Experience, you can select either the existing organizational files or upload files directly from your local computer.
- In Flex, input sources are currently limited to files, free text, and sObjects. If a Flex template includes other sources, such as data model objects (DMOs) or Data Graphs, the component won't display those templates or accept input.
- If you're planning to work with sales email, enable built-in prompt template for Sales email. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Einstein for Sales, and then Turn on Sales Emails.
