          Site Bulk Upload

          Site Bulk Upload

You can bulk upload site data to accelerate the quoting process. Large commercial and industrial customers with many service points can efficiently upload site data by using CSV files. It enables sales support teams and Salesforce admins to import large volumes of service point (site) data directly into an Opportunity or Quote by using standard CSV files.

In the commercial and industrial energy market, sales representatives often manage quotes for large utility customers who operate across extensive networks. A single opportunity, such as a quote for a national retail chain or a manufacturing conglomerate, can involve thousands of distinct service points. Each site requires specific details—such as Market Identifiers, Estimated Annual Consumption (EAC), and Service Types—to be accurately captured for pricing.

Traditionally, capturing this data involves manual entry, which creates a significant bottleneck in the quoting lifecycle and increases the risk of data entry errors. Site bulk upload addresses this challenge by automating the ingestion of customer data.

Upload your sites in bulk to gain these advantages:

          • Automate Data Ingestion: Rapidly upload and process large datasets (up to 10,000 sites) from a single CSV file, eliminating the need for manual record creation.
          • Ensure Data Accuracy: Validate the site data before importing it. The system detects issues such as missing headers or unmapped fields, so you can preview and correct errors before submitting the data to the system.
          • Map Data Flexibly: Map columns from a customer's CSV file to the appropriate system fields dynamically. This flexibility makes sure that files aren’t perfectly pre-formatted before upload.
          • Manage Data Granularly: Supplement the bulk upload process with an Add Manually option, allowing users to enter or adjust individual site details as needed without re-uploading the entire file.
          • Integrate with Quoting Flows: Start the upload process directly from an Opportunity or Quote page, ensuring that imported sites are automatically associated with the correct business transaction.
          • Set Up Bulk Site Upload
Enable, configure, and verify the essential features, user permissions, flows, and constraint models to fully implement the bulk site upload feature for Energy and Utilities Cloud.
          • Upload Sites in Bulk
Upload a CSV file containing customer site information to add multiple sites to an opportunity at once.
          • Customize Site Upload in Bulk
Select to use only one upload method, define mandatory columns for the uploaded CSV files, set opportunity product recipient fields for mapping, and exclude the manual site creation process.
          • Troubleshooting Bulk Site Upload
Troubleshoot common errors related to the automatic mapping feature, upload notifications, and CSV data failures.
