Configure Context Definitions and Pricing Procedures

Extend the required context definitions, configure pricing procedures, and update revenue settings.

Extend and Configure Sales Transaction Context Definition

Set up a new context definition, map the data, and activate the Sales Transaction Context Definition.

From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Context Definitions.
Select Extend from the Actions dropdown next to Sales TransactionContext.
Enter EUSalesTransactionContext as the name and save. Wait for the custom context definition to be created.
Go to Custom Definitions and select the new context definition you created.
Under the Map Data tab, select Edit SObject Mapping from the Actions dropdown next to Quote Entities Mapping.
Check the Mark as Default option and then select Map.
Return to the previous tab and Activate the context definition.

Create a new pricing procedure, update its context definition and constant default values, and then save and activate it.

From the App Launcher, select Expression Set Templates.
From the list, select Utilities Sales Default Pricing Procedure.
Select the dropdown next to Save As and select New Pricing Procedure.
Enter 1 for the Rank and then select Save.
Update the context definition:
1. From the App Launcher, select Pricing Procedures.
2. From the list, select Utilities Sales Default Pricing Procedure.
3. Select Edit.
4. Update the Context Definition to the one you created in the previous step and select Save.
Under the Pricing Procedure Versions section, select the version name.
Update constant default values:
1. From the App Launcher, select Price Adjustment Schedules.
2. Select Standard Attribute Based Adjustment and copy the PriceAdjustmentSchedule Id from the URL.
3. Go back to the pricing procedure and select the Resource Manager tab.
4. Select the constant Attribute_PriceAdjustmentScheduleld and enter the copied value in the Default Value field.
5. Repeat these steps for the Tiered_PriceAdjustmentScheduleld constant.
Make sure the version start date and time of the pricing procedure are later than the start date of the context definition.
Save and activate the pricing procedure.

Extend the context definition, map the data, and activate the context definition.

From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Context Definitions.
Select Extend from the dropdown for the ProductDiscovery Context Definition.
Enter a name for the new context definition and select Save.
Go to the Custom Definitions section and select your new context definition.
Under the Map Data tab, select Edit SObject Mapping from the Actions dropdown next to ProductDiscoveryMapping.
Check the Mark as Default option and select Map.
Activate the new context definition.

Select a template and save it as a new pricing procedure, update the context definition, and activate the product discovery pricing procedure.

From the App Launcher, select Expression Set Templates.
Select Product Discovery Pricing Procedure.
Select the dropdown next to Save As and then select New Pricing Procedure.
Enter 1 for the Rank and then select Save.
Edit the pricing procedure and update the context definition to the newly created EU Product Discovery Context Definition.
Activate the pricing procedure.

Update revenue settings, default pricing procedures, select context definitions and pricing procedures, and sync highlighted definitions.

Go to Revenue Settings and enable Negative Quantity, Zero Quantity, and Order Events.
Go to Salesforce Pricing Settings and update the default pricing procedure with the one you created.
Go to Product Discovery Settings, and select the context definition and pricing procedure you created.
Refresh context definition.
1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Context Definitions.
2. Select Custom Definitions.
3. Select Sync now for any highlighted definitions.
