Set Up External Service

To integrate Energy and Utilities Cloud applications with external applications, set up a named credential and an external service.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
User Permissions Needed
To access settings: Energy & Utilities Cloud Features
  1. Configure a named credential:
    • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Named Credentials.
    • Click New Legacy.
    • Enter EUNamed Credential for the Label and Name.
    • Enter your external URL.
  2. Set up an external service.
    • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter External Services.
    • Click New External Service.
    • Select From API Specification.
    • For the External Service Name, enter EUExternal Service.
    • Choose Complete Schema for the Service Schema option.
    • Select the EUNamed Credential you just created.
    • Use this sample YAML schema to create an external service and select Save.
