Energy and Utilities Cloud Spring ’24 Release Overview

Energy and Utilities Cloud Spring ’24 Release Overview

Empower your program managers with the Program Management Console, where they can track and manage clean energy programs within a single dashboard. Improve relationships with your contractors by using Contractor Portal, an external-facing centralized hub for contractor management, program discovery, and contractor enrollment.

          Note
Note As the Energy and Utilities cloud uses the CME managed package, the release notes also include the following updates to the CME managed package.
          • Access Centralized API and Managed Package Product Documentation
We have centralized these Communications, Media, and Energy & Utilities (CME) help resources: the CME common API documentation, the installation and upgrade guide for CME, and the CME managed package administration guide. These changes are part of the documentation team's effort to improve searchability, reduce loading times, and single-source help resources common among the CME clouds
          • Automatic Upgrades for Managed Packages
Starting in Spring ‘24, we've added the Energy and Utilities Cloud managed package to the automatic upgrade process. This process aligns with the Salesforce seasonal release cycle, where new features are delivered three times a year (Summer, Winter, and Spring). With automatic upgrades, you also get early access to upcoming releases in your sandbox preview environment.
          • Track Clean Energy Program Metrics with Program Management Console
Program managers can view the execution status of clean energy programs within a single dashboard. Enable program managers to achieve program adoption targets under budget by monitoring success metrics such as overall energy savings, application status, and incentive budget spend. With Business Rules Engine and Data Processing Engine, you can automatically calculate the energy savings of each application, and get a daily aggregate of each outcome.
          • Drive Contractor Engagement with Contractor Portal
Build a streamlined, external-facing portal where your contractors can view and update their partner accounts, enroll in clean energy programs, and collaborate with utility service companies. The contractor portal provides a centralized hub for contractors with program discovery, easy program enrollment, and a UX framework for contractor management.
