Bind the Custom Notification Type to the Mobile App

Ensure that emergency push notifications reach your service resources by connecting your new custom notification type to the Salesforce Field Service mobile app.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Energy & Utilities - Growth, Field Service for Energy & Utilities, and Contractors for Energy & Utilities
User Permissions Needed
To bind a custom notification type: Customize Application
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Notification Delivery Settings, and select Notification Delivery Settings.
  2. In the Custom Notification Types section, edit the Emergency Callout record.
  3. Select these channels.
    • Salesforce Field Service for iOS
    • Salesforce Field Service for Android
  4. Save your changes.
    Important
    Important Without this binding, the callout record is created, but no push notification reaches the mobile app.
