Clean Energy Program Management Console Requirements
Before you set up a clean energy program management console with AI tools, confirm that your org has the required licenses and a supported edition. You also need admin credentials, the Salesforce CLI with permission to authenticate it to your org, and an AI coding agent such as Claude Code or Agentforce Vibes to run the setup recipe.
Required Editions
| Available in: Lightning Experience |
| Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, Developer, Professional, and Performance Editions |
Prerequisites
- Set up your org for the Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers.
- Activate the Headless 360 MCP Server.
- Connect your coding agents.
- Access to a Salesforce Energy & Utilities org with all necessary licenses.
- Login URL and admin credentials for the target org.
- Access to an AI agent tool configured to run the setup skill (for example, Claude
Code or Agentforce Vibes running the setup skill that executes the
deploy-pmc-clean-energy-end-to-end Setup Operation Recipe
(SOR) files).
Note For Claude Code, install the Salesforce Development plugin, which provides Salesforce-specific skills and org context through hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. - Salesforce CLI
- Permissions to authenticate the CLI tool against the target org.
Suggested Technology and Experience
The source demonstrates an interactive AI agent skill run from a command-line coding
tool, such as Claude Code or Agentforce Vibes, that executes a
deploy-pmc-clean-energy-end-to-end setup recipe through a Model
Context Protocol (MCP) server and uses the Salesforce CLI to authenticate to the
org. When a headless metadata call isn't available, the workflow falls back to the
Salesforce CLI. See Agentic Tips for the fallback prompt.
The workflow relies on these components:
| Component | Purpose | Availability | Required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coding agent (Claude Code or Agentforce Vibes) | Reads org state and executes the setup steps | Yes | Yes |
| Headless 360 MCP server | Exposes the headless setup/metadata routes the agent calls | Yes | Yes |
Headless metadata skill (SOR steps that call the
/headless/metadata route) |
Applies setup metadata during the workflow | Yes | Yes |
Clean Energy Program Management Console recipe
(deploy-pmc-clean-energy-end-to-end) |
Drives the clean energy program management console setup path | Yes | Yes |
Salesforce CLI (sf) |
Fallback to deploy metadata when a headless route is unavailable | Yes | Conditional (fallback) |
Agentic Tips
- Recommended initiating prompt:
Set up PMC Clean Energy Program for Internal utility administrators on following org: [Your-Org-Alias] using project-codey mcp - Interaction pattern: The agent first runs a read-only baseline check, analyzes the org, and proposes the required settings. It narrates each step live with the actual API responses, so you can see what it's doing.
- Approvals: The agent pauses at critical points and asks you to confirm
(type
Yes). Confirmation points in the tested path include locating the recipe and proceeding (Phase 0), enabling preferences and other irreversible steps such as user creation and metadata deployment (Phase 1), and creating the Program Manager user (Phase 2). - Context to provide: The target org alias or URL. For Program Manager user
creation, provide the username, email, last name, and alias when prompted.
Authenticate through the browser sign-in that
sfdx org login webopens; never paste credentials into a prompt. - Verify: On completion, the agent prints a color-coded final status table and lists the manual tasks to finish in the UI.
