Set Up Energy & Utilities Contractor Portal
Grant permissions, deploy components, and enable an Experience Cloud site for the Energy & Utilities Contractor Portal.
Contractor Portal is delivered as an Experience Cloud template that you can configure to for your contractors. This setup guide instructs you on where to find the template, how to copy it into your org, and how to customize it for your specific needs. You can optionally set up sample data to test the features of Contractor Portal.
After you set up the Contractor Portal template, you can configure the site according to your business requirements. See Customize Contractor Portal.
To use Contractor Portal, these add-on licenses must be provisioned in your org:
- EAndUCloudPCAddOn
- BRECommunityAddOn
- ContractMgmtIndCmePCAddOn
- OmnistudioRuntimeCCAddOn
To set up Contractor Portal in Energy & Utilities, complete each of these tasks:
- Enable Features for Contractor Portal
Enable Program and Benefit Management settings for the Energy & Utilities Contractor Portal, and allow users to relate a contact to multiple accounts. - Create Program Manager Role for Clean Energy Program Management
Create a program manager role and assign the role to users who manage programs and need to create contractor users. - Clone the Partner Community Profile
Create a custom profile for the contractor by cloning the partner community profile and assigning additional permissions. - Create a Contractor Portal Site
Before you can configure your Contractor Portal, create a Contractor Portal site. Energy & Utilities Cloud provides a template for the Contractor Portal site to get you started. - Set up Partner Accounts and Contractor Users
Set up Partner Accounts and Contractor Users access to the Contractor Portal. - Set Up Sharing Settings for Contractor User Profile
Set up sharing settings so that Contractor Users can access the required objects. - Configure Workspaces and Publish Contractor Portal Site
Set up workspaces to allow only contractors to access and publish the Contractor Portal site. Publishing an Experience Builder site for the first time makes the site URL live and enables the login access for site members. - Deploy Metadata for Contractor Portal
Download the Contractor Portal SFDX metadata, and deploy them to your Salesforce org. - Set Up Optional Sample Data for Contractor Portal
