Consider Updating Sharing Settings for Contractor Portal
Consider updating your sharing settings to grant access to the objects used by Contractor Portal.
Some organizations choose to control object access globally using org-wide default settings. Refer to this table for suggested access settings for Contractor Portal objects.
These are suggestions only—your organization may have different security model requirements. Check with your system administrator or implementation partner for help and advice about sharing settings.
- Go to Setup.
- In the Quick Find box, search for Sharing Settings.

Set these organization-wide defaults (OWD).
Object Default Internal Access Default External Access Program Public Read Only Public Read Only Product Public Read Only Public Read Only Program Product Public Read Only Public Read Only Application Form Template Public Read Only Public Read Only Account Public Read Only Public Read Only Contact Public Read / Write Public Read / Write Business License Public Read Only Public Read Only - Save your changes.
