Slack for Multisite and Auto Quotes

Set up the Slack integration to enable automated notifications and collaboration for your multisite quote and auto-quote processes.

For example, When a sales rep initiates a Multisite Auto Quote or an Auto Quote process on an opportunity, Salesforce starts an asynchronous background process to sync Opportunity Product Recipients (OPR) to Quote Line Item Recipients (QLIR).

To track the job's progress, Salesforce creates an AsyncOperationTracker record with the JobType set to MultisiteAutoQuote or LoadSalesRecipientData, and the Status initially set to In Progress.

When the job finishes, the Status field updates to Success or Failure. This status change triggers a notification informing the relevant user or system that the OPR to QLIR sync succeeded or failed. To prevent unnecessary alerts, the notification is conditional: it is never sent when the quote process is initiated, and it is dispatched only when the JobType is LoadSalesRecipientData or MultisiteAutoQuote.

The notification isn't sent when the quote process starts. Instead, it triggers when the background sync finishes, informing the user or system whether the OPR to QLIR sync succeeds or fails.
