Configure Customer Acquisition Management
Customer Acquisition Management comes configured by default with a reference product model you can use to explore how the app works. Learn how to implement your own product model and customize the Customer Acquisition Management application.
You can use Customer Acquisition Management out-of-the-box, with minimal changes, or you can customize it extensively. You can create your own product catalog, design your own custom UI, and add your own pricing logic. However, these changes require extensive configuration changes and expertise. In this case, Salesforce recommends working with a implementation partner.
- Use the Customer Acquisition Management Application Out-of-the-box
Customer Acquisition Management application provides a preconfigured reference product model, which comes with sample data for products and pricing. Use the reference product model as is and add your own products and pricing data. - Change the Look and Feel of the Reference UI for Customer Acquisition Management
Customize the reference UI in your org to make it aligned with your company theme. You can change the logos, templates, static text, and so on, which makes it native to your company brand experience. - Add Product Attributes to a Reference Product Model for Customer Acquisition Management
Each Energy & Utilities company has its own set of attributes associated with offered products. These attributes are used to determine different pricing values for the customers based on their inputs. The reference product model uses the Distribution Region attribute to determine the associated pricing. The customer specifies the location where they reside, and the application retrieves and displays the products with pricing applicable for that location - Extend the Eligibility Criteria for Customer Acquisition Management
Eligibility criteria are generally used to identify if the customer is qualified or potentially interested to enroll for certain products or services. The Customer Acquisition Management application uses the meter type owned by the customer as a criterion for filtering the products and services the customer is eligible for.
