Modify Existing Product in Reference Product Model
The reference product model is designed with products that are commonly found in the Energy & Utilities market. If any of the existing products in the reference product model closely matches the products that you want to offer to the customer, you can easily modify the existing products to suit your requirements.
Here is the structure of the Green Future commodity product example which closes matches the pre-configured Green Energy Tariff product specification.
The steps below describe the workflow to modify the Green Energy Tariff product specification to match with the Green Future changes.
When you have finished, remember to Run Maintenance Jobs
Modify Product Specification
Update the specifications in the reference product model to match with the Green Future product:

Unit Rate Green

Standing Rate Green
- In the App Launcher, go to All Items and click Vlocity Product Designer.

In the Quick Find box, search
Green Energy Tariff.
Click Green Energy Tariff to open the product page.

In the Details tab, update the following
fields:

Product Description
The greenest home-energy tariffs you can get with us.
Product Code
PD_GREEN_FUTURE_2021
- Click Done.

Select the Structure tab, and update
Unit Rate and Standing
Charge products with the following values:

- Add new product images.
Update Product Catalog
Update the catalog to include the new product code for the Green Future product.
- In the App Launcher, go to All Items and click Catalogs.
- Click Consumer Electricity Catalog.
- Click View All Records under Catalog Product Relationships.
- Click the Action menu next to Green Energy Tariff, and select Edit.

Update the Green Energy Tariff Catalog
Product Relationship with the following value:

- Click Save.
Update Calculation Matrices
Update the calculation matrices to reflect the new product codes added for the Green Future product along with the new pricing.
- In the App Launcher, go to All Items and click Vlocity Product Designer.
- Click VEEDCSalesPricingMatrix.

From the address bar, copy the record id for the
VEEDCSalesPricingMatrix calculation matrix. For
example, if the address bar has a URL
https://baseurl/lightning/r/vlocity_cmt__CalculationMatrix__c/a0h4x000006xQbLAAU/view, the record id isa0h4x000006xQbLAAU. - Click View Profile, and select Switch to Salesforce Classic.

In the address bar, copy the record id to create a URL in the
following format -
https://<baseurl>/<record-id>.The VEESCSalesPricingMatrix record is displayed.
- Scroll down to the Vlocity Calculation Matrix Versions section, and click the latest version of VEEDCSalesPricingMatrixV<latest-version>.
- Click Create New Version.

In the Table section, under Input
Data, delete all the rows for the following Green Energy
Tariff child product codes:

CC_UNIT_RATE_GREEN

In the Table section, under Enter
New Data for Inputs, add the following
information:

- Click Save Data.
- Click Edit under Vlocity Calculation Matrix Version Detail section.
- Update the Priority with the same value as the Version.
- Select Enabled.
- Click Save.
- Click Switch to Lightning Experience.
- To finish, Run Maintenance Jobs.
