Post Deployment Steps for Utility Self Service Portal
After downloading and deploying the Utility Self Service Portal static resources and assigning permission sets, complete these post-deployment steps.
Before you begin, ensure that you have assigned permission sets to your users. See Configure Permissions for Utility Self Service Portal Users
Configure Digital Experience Site
Configure the digital experience site that the end user uses to access the portal.
To launch the Digital Experience site as an end user, follow these steps:
- To go to the Setup Home page, click the gear icon labeled Setup and then clickSetup.

To set the correct Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) URL, follow these steps:
- In the Quick Find box, search for Trusted URL and select Trusted URLs.

Click Edit beside the listed URL. The URL has the format https://<WrongNameSpace>.livepreview.salesforce-communities.com.
If the site does not exist, create a new site with the API Name set to ssp_trusted_site, the URL set to the format https://<NameSpace>.livepreview.salesforce-communities.com, frame-src selected, and img-src selected.

Copy the namespace before .lightning.force.com from the address bar of your org and paste it in Origin URL Pattern before .livepreview.salesforce-communities.com. The address bar of your org has the format https://<CorrectNameSpace>.lightning.force.com.
- Save your changes.

To set the correct URL as a trusted site, follow these steps:
- In the Quick Find box, search for CSP, and select CSP Trusted Sites.
- Click Edit beside the listed URL. The URL has the format https://<WrongNameSpace>.livepreview.salesforce-communities.com.
- Copy the namespace in the address bar of your org. It has the format https://<CorrectNameSpace>.lightning.force.com.
- Save your changes.

To allow the chat URL to work in the portal, follow these steps:
- In the Quick Find box, search for All Sites, and select All Sites.
- Click Builder beside the Self Service Portal.

Click

- Click Security and Privacy.
- Under CSP Errors, click Allow URL for any Chat URLs that are displayed.
Update Terms and Conditions
You can edit the terms and conditions URL displayed during the sign up and login pages to guide the customer to your company's legal terms and conditions. The terms and conditions include legal agreements and disclaimers that your company declares to customers who use the Utility Self Service Portal to manage their accounts.

Update the terms and conditions link in the sfiEnergySelfServiceSignUp FlexCard.
- In the App Launcher, search for Flexcards, and click OmniStudio FlexCards.
- In the Find in page box, enter the name of the FlexCard you want to customize. For example, enter sfiEnergySelfServiceSignUp.
- Select the active version of the card, then click Deactivate.
- Click the Terms and Conditions element.
- In the Action section, in URL, enter the link that you use to display terms and conditions.
- Save your changes and activate the FlexCard.

Update the View Details link in the sfiEnergySelfServicePremisePaymentCard FlexCard.
- In the App Launcher, search for Flexcards, and click OmniStudio FlexCards.
- In the Find in page box, enter the name of the FlexCard you want to customize. For example, enter sfiEnergySelfServicePremisePaymentCard.
- Select the active version of the card, then click Deactivate.
- Click the View Details element.
- In the Action section, in URL, enter the link that you use to display the payment details.
- Save your changes and activate the FlexCard.

Update the Eligible Zip Codes link and the Approved vendors in the EnergyUtilitiesProgramsDetailsForOneProgram FlexCard.
- In the App Launcher, search for Flexcards, and click OmniStudio FlexCards.
- In the Find in page box, enter the name of the FlexCard you want to customize. For example, enter EnergyUtilitiesProgramsDetailsForOneProgram.
- Select the active version of the card, then click Deactivate.
- Click the Eligible Zip Codes element.
- In the Action section, in URL, enter the link that you use to display the eligible ZIP codes of the program.
- Click the Approved Vendors element.
- In the Action section, in URL, enter the link that you use to display the list of the approved vendors.
- Save your changes and activate the FlexCard.
- From Setup, enter All Sites in the Quick Find box, then select All Sites.
- In the All Sites window, click Builder next to Self Service Portal.

Click
and click sfiEnergySelfServiceSignUp.
- Expand the Active State of the card.
- Expand the Action Section of the Terms and Conditions element.
- In URL, add the correct link that your company uses for displaying terms and conditions.
- In VPLExpress metadata, update the SelfServiceUserNameSuffix field to your company’s website. Example: @salesforcekenton.com.
- Save your changes.
Publish Digital Experience Site Settings for Utility Self Service Portal
Configure the digital experience site settings to publish custom components that are required to customize the portal according to your company's requirements.
Republish the Digital Experience Site to activate the components in the community portal. As you cannot republish the site without making any changes, you can delete and add the same component to the site before publishing it.
- Go to Setup.

In the Quick Find box, search for All Sites.

In the All Sites window, click Builder next to Self Service Portal

Scroll down and select the sfiEnergySelfServiceFooter.

On the sfiEnergySelfServiceFooter popup, click Delete in the Action menu.

Drag sfiEnergySelfServiceFooter to the bottom of the screen.

- Click Publish.
Create User for Testing the Utility Self Service Portal
Create a user account to test the login and sign up process of the Utility Self Serve Portal.

To set the Social Security Number (SSN) of the test account, follow these steps

From App Launcher, click Contacts.

Search for James Rawlings.

In the Details tab, enter the SSN 123456789.
NoteIf the SSN field is not visible, switch to Salesforce Classic and click Edit Layout. To know more about editing page layout, see Customize Page Layouts with the Original Page Layout Editor.

Save your changes.

To disable the James Rawlings account, follow these steps:
- In the top right corner dropdown of the Contact card, select Disable Customer User.
- Save your changes.

To view the sign-up page, in the Quick Find box, search for All Sites.

Copy the URL beside the Self Serve Portal. For example, the URL is in the following format: https://<domain name>.my.site.com/service.

Open an incognito browser window and paste the link in the address bar.

Append /s/login/SelfRegister to the link in the address bar.

Press Enter.
The sign-up page is displayed.

- In the sign-up page, enter these details to create the test account. The test account is a contact in an existing default Account named Billy Bing in the org.
- Select the I agree to the Terms and Conditions checkbox, then click Sign Up.

To log in to your Digital Experience site with a test user account, follow these steps:
- In the Quick Find box, search for All Sites, and select All Sites.
- Copy the URL adjacent to Self Service Portal.
- Open a private browser window and paste the link in the address bar.
- Append s/login/ to the link in the address bar, then press Enter.
