Energy & Utilities Cloud Headless

With Energy & Utilities Cloud Headless, an AI coding agent in Claude Code or Agentforce Vibes configures features through setup APIs, not manual clicks.

Energy & Utilities Cloud Headless is a common, AI-assisted setup path shared across several features, so you can configure them faster without complex, UI-heavy setup. Instead of configuring dozens of Setup nodes by hand, an admin directs an AI coding agent to take a fresh org from no capability to an operable configuration. The agent runs from a command-line tool, such as Claude Code or Agentforce Vibes. It works headlessly through Salesforce setup APIs and the Salesforce CLI, so the same guided workflow applies to each feature. You enable features, assign permissions, and deploy supporting metadata, then verify the result in fewer steps. Availability varies by feature; each feature's requirements list the exact editions and prerequisite products.

Features You Can Set Up

Use an AI coding agent to set up these Energy & Utilities Cloud features:

  • Clean Energy Program Management Console: Configure the org preferences, Program Manager user and profile, permission sets, metadata, flows, and Data Processing Engine definitions that the console needs.
  • New Connections and Program Management: Turn on Individual Application milestone tracking and configure the profile, permissions, field-level security, and record page that new connections require.
  • Multisite Quoting: Turn on Sales for Energy & Utilities and multisite quoting, assign permissions, and connect the integration, product and pricing data, and context definitions that multisite quoting depends on.
  • Tariff Comparison: Turn on Sales for Energy & Utilities and tariff comparison, assign permissions, and connect the external service integration, product and pricing data, and decision tables that tariff comparison depends on.

How AI-Assisted Setup Works

Across these Energy & Utilities Cloud features, the agent follows the same pattern. Before it changes anything, the agent runs a read-only baseline check of the org to confirm what exists, so it doesn't duplicate work or stop on avoidable blockers. It then run predefined Setup Operation Recipe (SOR) files that sequence the steps in the correct order, so you don't configure dependencies out of sequence.

As it runs, the agent narrates each action with the actual API responses, so you can follow along and catch issues early. Because the agent operates in defined roles, it pauses at critical or irreversible steps to ask for your permission or input. For example, it asks whether to create a user, assign permissions, or run a simplified setup path. When the run finishes, the agent prints a summary of completed, skipped, and unsuccessful steps that serve as an audit log and a verification checklist.

What You Need to Run for an AI-Assisted Setup

To run an AI-assisted setup, you need:

  • A command-line AI coding agent, such as Claude Code or Agentforce Vibes.
  • The Salesforce CLI, which the agent uses to authenticate and apply changes.
  • A Salesforce admin user, authenticated to the target org, with the permissions that each feature requires.
  • A target Energy & Utilities Cloud org.

Each feature has its own requirements topic that lists the supported editions, prerequisite products and features, and required permissions. Review that topic before you start.

  • Multisite Quoting Setup with AI Tools
With an AI coding agent and headless Salesforce setup APIs, a Salesforce admin takes a new org from no multisite quoting capability to an operable quoting experience. Instead of clicking through every setup node by hand, the admin directs the agent to read the org's current state and enable Sales for Energy & Utilities and the multisite quoting feature.
  • Tariff Comparison Setup with AI Tools
With an AI coding agent and headless Salesforce setup APIs, an Energy & Utilities admin takes a new org from no tariff comparison capability to an operable comparison experience. Instead of clicking through every setup node by hand, the admin directs the agent to read the org's current state and turn on Sales for Energy & Utilities and the tariff comparison feature.
  • Clean Energy Program Management Console Setup with AI Tools
With an AI coding agent and Salesforce setup automation, an Energy & Utilities admin takes an org from no clean energy program management capability to a configured clean energy program management console.
  • New Connections Setup with AI Tools
With an AI coding agent and Salesforce setup automation, the admin directs an interactive agent skill run from a command-line coding tool, such as Claude Code or Agentforce Vibes.
