Add Global Actions to Publisher Layouts for Financial Services

A global action lets users record details about client tasks, events, and calls directly from the Salesforce header.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions
  1. Create a publisher layout.
    1. From Setup, enter Global Actions in the Quick Find box, and then select Publisher Layouts.
    2. Click New.
    3. Name the publisher layout, such as Advisor Publisher Layout.
    4. Save your changes.
  2. Assign publisher layouts to profiles.
    1. From the list of Global Publisher Layouts, click Publisher Layout Assignment.
    2. Click Edit Assignment.
    3. In the table, select the cell for the Advisor profile and choose Advisor Publisher Layout from the dropdown.
    4. Repeat to assign the appropriate publisher layout to the Personal Banker and Relationship Manager profiles.
    5. If you created other profiles, assign them layouts as needed.
    6. Save your changes.
