Enable Custom Object Settings

To grant users delete access to custom object participant records, turn on Compliant Data Sharing custom object settings.

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions in Financial Services Cloud
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Nonprofit Cloud
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Public Sector Solutions
User Permissions Needed
To configure Compliant Data Sharing: Configure Compliant Data Sharing System Permission
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Compliant Data Sharing, and then select Custom Object Settings.
  2. Turn on a setting to grant users delete access to custom object participant records.
    • Turn on Delete custom object participant record setting.
    Allow users to delete a custom object participant record when the user has edit access to the Compliant Data Sharing parent object record.
    • Turn on Delete custom object participant record by parent record owner setting.
    Allow users to delete a custom object participant record when the user is the owner of the parent record and doesn’t have delete access to the compliant data sharing parent custom object.
