Set Up Document Types for Loan Origination

Define the specific types of documents needed from your loan applicants so that you can ensure consistency across loan applications.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions
User Permissions Needed
To create document types:

System Administrator

AND

Document Checklist Item
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Document Type, and then select Document Type.
  2. Click New Document Type.
  3. Enter a label for the document type.
    For example, Aadhaar Card.
    The API name is automatically filled based on the label and can be customized. Edit the API name to make sure that each document type has a unique API name.
  4. Make sure that the Is Active checkbox is selected.
  5. Enter a description for the document type.
  6. To add another document type, click Save & New or to finish, click Save.
