Document Management for Digital Origination for Lending
Collect and organize the documents that applicants must submit during loan origination.
Request specific documents, such as proof of identity or income, based on the applicant's
profile and the loan product. To automate this process, set up document types, document
categories, and a decision matrix.

The documents that an applicant uploads depend on the applicant's profile and the specific
loan product. For example, a primary applicant needs to upload a government ID as proof of
identity and a recent salary slip as proof of income. However, a co-applicant or a different
loan product requires different documents.
To support and automate this process, use document types, document categories, and a decision
matrix.
Document types define each kind of document that you collect, such as a passport or salary
slip.
Document categories group related document types, such as proof of identity or proof of
income. Categories help users manage and retrieve related documents together.
A decision matrix maps a loan product, applicant type, and level to the document types
required for that combination. When an applicant reaches the document upload step of a loan
application, the decision matrix determines which documents to request.
