Create and Activate a Referral Intake Configuration
Create and activate a referral intake configuration to design a guided, multi-step,
multi-section intake form that controls how referral information is collected from users. Define
the steps, sections, fields, and conditional logic that shape the form experience, so that when a
user creates a referral, the intake form is dynamically rendered based on your
configuration.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
User Permissions Needed
To create and activate a referral intake configuration:
Referral Management Admin
AND
Financial Services Cloud Extension OR FSC
Foundation OR FSC Service OR FSC Sales
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, find and select Intelligent Referral
Management.
Click Referral Intake Configurations.
Click New Intake Configuration.
Enter a configuration name and description.
The welcome screen is the first thing users see when they open the referral intake form,
before any steps or fields are presented. Use it to set the context for the referral
submission experience. For example, you can display terms and conditions, provide brief
instructions, or present required compliance and privacy notices. Adding a welcome screen is
especially recommended for organizations in highly regulated industries where explicit user
acknowledgment is required before data collection begins.
Add steps to organize the form into sequential screens.
To group related fields logically, add sections within each step.
Add fields to each section to capture the referral information you need.
Optionally, configure conditional logic on sections to progressively disclose them based on
user inputs at runtime.
Activate the configuration.
