Malware scanning provides an automated layer of security for files uploaded to your Salesforce environment. In Government Cloud, this feature is active by default to help maintain compliance and protect sensitive data from embedded threats. By automatically inspecting files during the upload process, the system can identify and block known malicious software before it enters your org, reducing the risk of security breaches.

Malware Scanning in Government Cloud is FedRAMP-High and Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level (IL) 5 authorized.
While malware scanning is enabled by default to ensure maximum security, you can turn it off if your specific organizational requirements necessitate doing so.
