            Malware Scanning for Government Cloud

            Ensure your organization's security by automatically scanning file uploads for malicious content. This feature is enabled by default for Government Cloud customers to provide immediate protection against potential threats.

            Malware scanning provides an automated layer of security for files uploaded to your Salesforce environment. In Government Cloud, this feature is active by default to help maintain compliance and protect sensitive data from embedded threats. By automatically inspecting files during the upload process, the system can identify and block known malicious software before it enters your org, reducing the risk of security breaches.

            Compliance for Shield Platform Encryption in Government Cloud

            Malware Scanning in Government Cloud is FedRAMP-High and Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level (IL) 5 authorized.

            While malware scanning is enabled by default to ensure maximum security, you can turn it off if your specific organizational requirements necessitate doing so.

            1. From Setup, enter Security in the Quick Find box, then select File Upload and Download Security.
            2. Locate the Malware Scanning section.
            3. Deselect the Enable malware scanning for file uploads checkbox.
            4. Click Save.
