Required Licenses and Permission Sets
The Applicant and Grantee Support Agent requires add-on licenses to supplement your org’s Grantmaking or Public Sector configuration. To see the licenses in your org, from Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and then select Company Information. Look at the User Licenses and Permission Set Licenses related lists. To add licenses, contact your Salesforce account executive.
To review licenses for Grantmaking and other Agentforce Public Sector products, see Agentforce Public Sector (formerly Public Sector Solutions) Products: User, Feature, and Permission Set Licenses.
The Applicant and Grantee Support Agent uses three user types, each one requiring a different set of permissions. For standard Grantmaking permission sets, see Grantmaking Editions and Permission Sets. You set up the Agent (bot) permission sets in a later step, see Set Up the Applicant and Grantee Support Agent.
Agent user (bot)
A dedicated agent user is created automatically when you set up the agent. You must clone a permission set and assign it to the agent user.
- Clone Agentforce for Public Sector for AI Agents and turn on the Use Applicant and Grantee Support Agent as a Community User system permission on the clone. This allows the agent to act on behalf of external Community users.
For the steps to create and assign these permission sets, see Set Up the Applicant and Grantee Support Agent.
Community users (Customer Community Plus license)
Assign the following permission sets to grant seekers who access the agent through the Grantmaking Experience Cloud site.
- Data Cloud User
- Grantseeker Support Agent for Community
- Prompt Template User
Platform users (Salesforce Platform license)
