Configure the Anchor Node in a Graph Type

Configure the Anchor Node in a Graph Type

To help users visualize the hierarchical structure of entities, create a graph type in the ARC Builder, and then assign an object as the starting point of the graph. This object is the anchor node. Add its child objects and select the field in each child object that has a lookup to its immediate parent node.

          Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud or Life Sciences Cloud

          User Permissions Needed
To enable relationship groups: Customize Application
To access Health Cloud objects: Health Cloud Foundation
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Actionable Relationship Center, and then select Actionable Relationship Center.
          2. Click New Relationship Graph.
          3. In the New Relationship Graph window, click Default Templates, and then click New.
          4. Click Create Graph.
          5. In the Properties pane, add the following:
            1. Add a label. The name is auto-populated.
            2. For Graph Type, select Horizontal Hierarchy.
            3. To field and sort fields in a record, select Customize View.
            4. In the ARC builder, click the new node.
            5. In the Properties pane, select an object for the anchor node. For example, select Account.
The Account object set as the anchor node in the ARC Builder, with two Healthcare Facilities as its children.
            6. To set the new node as the anchor, click Assign as Anchor Node, and click Set.
            7. Select the criteria for sorting.
            8. In the Builder, click Plus icon to add a child node.
            9. Select the object for the child node. For example, select Healthcare Facility.
            10. For Parent Node Lookup Field, select the field that has a lookup to the parent object of that node.
When you add an object that doesn’t have a lookup to its preceding parent node, the Parent Node Lookup Field is disabled. In such scenarios, delete the invalid node and try again.
            11. To display child records in the same container as the parent (split container), click Show Child Records.
            12. Save your changes.
            13. To create more nodes, repeat the steps (h) to (j).
