            Create a Disease Surveillance Catalog

            Import disease definitions from PDF files published by health authorities, extract the key details, and review the populated information for accuracy. Save the extracted information to create structured disease definition records and build an up-to-date catalog that aligns with your organization's needs.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions of Health Cloud with the Agentforce for Health Cloud license
            User Permissions Needed
            To use Document AI for Health:

            Health Cloud Foundation permission set

            AND

            Data Cloud User permission set

            AND

            Disease Surveillance permission set

            AND

            Document AI permission set

            AND

            Health Cloud AI Assistive Agent permission set
            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Document Extraction Request.
            2. Click Extract Document.
            3. Click Upload Files, and upload the disease definition PDF file. Then, click Done.
            4. From the list of recently uploaded files, select the file that you uploaded, and click Next.
            5. In Select Pages section, select All to extract every page, or select Custom and enter the range of pages to extract in the Page Selection field, for example, 1-5.
            6. Select Disease Definition as the use case type.
            7. Review the Records to Extract section to confirm that all required fields are selected for extraction.
            8. Click Extract.
              The extraction can take a while depending on the file size.
            9. When the status of your extraction request changes to Review Not Started, click the action menu next to your request and select View.
            10. Review the extracted data. If needed, add or update the data, and save your changes.
            11. After the status changes to Save Completed, select View from the action menu to view the summary of the created records.
              A Disease Definition record is created from the extraction. You can find the catalog in the Disease Definition object.
            12. If a document extraction request fails, on the Document Extraction Request record page, click Review Errors to view the error details.
