          Add a Medication During a Home Visit

          Improve patient safety and health outcomes by adding and updating medications for your patients during a home visit. Use the Field Service Mobile app to search for and add medications, and update dosage, route, and other important medication details.

          Required Editions

          If you face any connectivity issue when you search for medications during your home visit, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. The Field Service Mobile app enables you to temporarily add an Offline Medication record and also prompts you to enter proper notes for future reference. When the app is back online, refer your notes and update the offline record to the exact medication.

          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud, the Home Health Add-on license, and the Field Service mobile app
          User Permissions Needed
          To add medications: Home Health Clinician

          Prerequisite: You must have the Field Service mobile app installed on your device.

          1. Open the Field Service mobile app.
          2. Tap a visit on the Schedule tab and see its details.
          3. To see the patient’s clinical data and preferences, tap Actions, and then select Patient Details.
          4. Go to the Medication List tab, and then tap Add.
          5. Do one of the following:
            • Search for and select the medication that you want to add from the Medicine field.
            • If you’re unable to search for the medication, add an Offline Medication record by providing specifications about the medication that you intend to add in the Additional Instructions field.
          6. Enter the dosage, prescription, and other details for the medication.
          7. Save your changes.
            That’s it. The patient’s medication list now includes the new medication. For an offline medication, don’t forget to revisit and update the Offline Medication record with the new medication details when the app is back online.
