Add the Intelligent Appointment Management Component to Record Pages
Give schedulers the ability to schedule appointments from accounts, clinical service requests, or tasks. Select the features and fields to include in the appointment console.

- On a person account, clinical service request, or task record page, click the Setup icon, and then select Edit page.
- Select the page component, and the select Add Tab in the page properties panel.

To rename the tab, select it.
- Click the Tab Label field and select Custom.
- Enter a descriptive name, and then click Done.

Drag the Healthcare Appointment Scheduler component to the tab.
The Healthcare Appointment Scheduler component works best on Lightning pages with two regions. Pages with three regions don’t render all of the component's elements consistently.
The Healthcare Appointment Scheduler component shows users a list of up to 25 providers. The order of the providers in the list is random.

In the Healthcare Appointment Scheduler component properties, select the Appointment
Guidance flow, and then specify a label and auto-launch option.
This flow is an optional feature that you can configure after you save and activate the Healthcare Appointment Scheduler component. For details about configuring this feature, see Appointment Guidance.
- To give users the ability to book rooms, equipment, and other assets, for Appointment Resources, select either Assets or Providers and Assets. Edit Asset Search Panel Fields and Asset Search Results Fields. For details, see Set Up Asset Scheduling for Intelligent Appointment Management.

Configure Search Panel Fields and Search Results
Fields.
The Search Panel fields are grouped into basic and advanced search fields. The Search Results fields are shown in the provider’s card.
- To add fields, click Add Field. Each time you click Add Field, any fields configured since the component was last updated are added. Click Add Field multiple times to see all the available fields. The Add Field button appears unavailable after all fields have been added.

To remove a field, click

- To hide the advanced search fields by default, select Hide Advanced Search.
- Set Miles or Kilometers as the Distance Unit used to search for appointments within a certain distance of the patient’s address.

Select the features to include in the component.
Component Attribute Details Show provider badge Indicate the patient’s assigned provider and which providers have been associated with this patient in the past. Show multi-step scheduling Give users the ability to book a series of related at predetermined intervals, such as a 3-step vaccination series. For details, see Set Up Multi-Step Scheduling for Intelligent Appointment Management. Show appointments list Show booked appointments in a separate tab. From the appointment list, users can select Modify Appointment and Cancel Appointment actions. For details, see Show an Appointment List with Modify and Cancel Actions. Show multi-resource scheduling Give users the ability to book multiple providers, rooms, equipment, and other assets for an appointment. For details, see Set Up Multi-Resource Scheduling for Intelligent Appointment Management. Show recurring scheduling Give users the ability to book a series of ongoing appointments at a specified frequency, such as physical therapy appointments that occur every Wednesday for 12 weeks. For details, see Set Up Recurring Scheduling for Intelligent Appointment Management. Show time zone Show a Time Zone setting that schedulers can use to select the patient's time zone instead of their own time zone. This makes it easier for schedulers to coordinate with patients and helps the patients to avoid missed appointments due to time zone confusion or errors. Allow group scheduling Gives users the ability to schedule appointments for groups, such as behavioral health sessions, appointments for minors and their legal guardians, or group immunization appointments. To give appointment schedulers quick access to appointment scheduling workflows and
appointment guidance, specify a home page.
To use the home page Omniscript included with Health Cloud, select healthCloudIAM_HomePage_multiLanguage. Or select your customized home page Omniscript.For details about configuring a custom Omniscript, see Customize the Intelligent Appointment Management Home Page.
- Save and activate the page as needed.
- Return to the record page.

To add an appointments related list to a page, add the Service Appointments related list to
the page layout.
- On a person account page, click the Setup icon, and then select Edit Object.
- Click Page Layouts, then click Person Account Layout.
- Click Related Lists in the palette.
- Drag Service Appointments from the palette into the Related Lists section of the canvas.
- In the Related List section, clear the New button.
- Click Save, and then click Yes to overwrite users’ customizations.
- Repeat these steps for clinical service request and task page layouts.
