            Nominate a Provider to Join a Payer Network Using NPPES

            Providers can now nominate other providers to join the health plan using their NPI number or by searching with their demographic data. This search cross-references the NPPES directory and provides a list of results from which you can select and nominate a provider.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience

            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud
            User Permissions Needed
            To register providers: Provider Network Management for Experience Cloud Sites permission set
            1. From the provider portal, click Nominate Peer Provider.
            2. Select the registration method: Auto populate the application using NPI Number
            3. Enter the 10-digit unique NPI number.
            4. Review the auto populated details under the Primary Information page.
            5. Enter the nominated provider’s birth date and email id.
            6. Enter the professional information such as the nominated provider’s specialty, company, and address.
            7. Add your details as a nominator.
            8. (Optional) Enter any additional information that you want to highlight.
            9. Review the entered details and Submit.
            10. To nominate a provider by searching through the NPPES Directory, select the registration method: Fill in the application by searching through NPPES Directory.
              1. Enter the basic details of the provider such as their first name, last name, and city.
              2. Click Search.
              3. Select the provider from the list.
                Note
                Note If you don't find any provider matching your search, you can still continue your nomination by entering the provider details.
              4. Review the auto populated details under the Primary Information page.
              5. Enter the nominated provider’s birth date and email id.
              6. Enter the professional information such as the nominated provider’s specialty, company, and address.
              7. Add your details as a nominator.
              8. (Optional) Enter any additional information that you want to highlight.
              9. Review the entered details and Submit.
              Note
              Note You can also nominate a provider by entering their basic information using the Fill in the application without NPI Number registration method.

            That's all! You see an acknowledgment of your nomination. The recruiting specialist at the payer’s office contacts the provider to assist them further with the recruiting process.
