Considerations for Video Appointments with Amazon Chime

Here are some things to keep in mind when you set up video appointments with Amazon Chime.

  • For Health Cloud customers who use Salesforce Scheduler, video calls are currently available only to customers in Australia, Brazil, Canada (except Ontario), Finland, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.
  • To access Amazon Chime web Integration, users need at least one Video Calls Add On license.
  • Video appointments with Amazon Chime are available in the Salesforce Lightning Console and Experience Cloud sites, but aren’t available in Lightning Out.
  • Salesforce Scheduler APIs don’t support video appointments with Amazon Chime.
  • Amazon Chime doesn’t support asset scheduling, multiresource scheduling, and partner and contractor use cases. Only the assigned resource and customer can join an Amazon Chime video call.
