Create Activity Plans by Cloning a Previous Plan

Cloning copies the source plan's goals, goal measures, and goal measure products into the new plans. Adjustments made during the source plan's review cycle aren't carried forward.
You can clone activity plans of the Account Goal type only. In a cloned plan, Activity Type is automatically set to Account Goal, Usage Type to Provider Plan Cycle, and Build Type to Clone.
Cloning uses two time periods: the period of the plan that you clone from, and the period that your new plans run in. For each territory that you select, cloning looks for a plan in the earlier period. If a plan exists for the territory, an activity plan is created in the new period. Territories without existing plans are left out, so you can get fewer plans than the number of territories you selected.
Prerequisites:
- Make sure an activity plan from a past time period exists for the territories you select. This is the source plan.
- Create a time period record with the start and end date of the new activity plans.
- From the App Launcher, find and select Activity Plans.
- Click Clone Plan.
-
On the Create Activity Plan window, for Activity Plan Name Prefix, enter a prefix for the
activity plan names.
Each cloned plan is named with the prefix followed by the territory name. For example, the prefix Activity Plan 2026 Q2 with the territory Aurora creates Activity Plan 2026 Q2 Aurora. You can't change Activity Type, Usage Type, or Build Type.
- For Plan Time Period, select the time period for your new plans, and click Next.
-
Select the territories to create activity plans for, and click
Next.
Selecting a parent territory doesn't select the territories under it. Select each territory that you want to include. An activity plan is created for each territory that you select. If a territory has no source plan in the time period that you select in the next step, no plan is created for that territory.
-
Select the time period of the plan that you want to clone.
An overview of the source plan's goals appears. Only the plans that match your selected time period and territories are cloned.
-
Review the goals, and save your changes.
Each activity plan is created and associated with its territory. The Clone Activity Plans batch job then clones the provider activity goals, goal measures, and goal measure products.
-
Click Go to Activity Plans.
The cloned activity plans appear in the activity plans list with an In Progress status.
